Terms of Service

Last updated 26 August 2026. Operator established in Poland. Template.

1. The service

Salestino is a Shopify app: a storefront chat widget, a shared email inbox, and — on paid plans — an AI agent that answers from the store’s live data and can perform order actions inside limits you set. The helpdesk is available on the free plan. The agent is not.

By installing the app, creating a seat, or submitting the waitlist form you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. Merchants who install also agree to the DPA.

The operator is established in Poland: OWNER: legal name, NIP. Shopify Inc. is not a party and is not responsible for the app. “Shopify” is a trademark of Shopify Inc.

2. Early access

The public website is a waitlist. The app is in development. Features, limits and availability can change. There is no production environment for merchants at large as of this date. When that changes, this paragraph will be updated rather than quietly dropped.

3. Accounts and seats

The store owner signs in through Shopify. Invited agents sign in with a magic link. You are responsible for the people you invite and for what they do in the inbox. Only the owner can change the plan, action limits, sending domain or the widget’s look.

If you uninstall, staff sessions stop being able to open the inbox. Data is kept for 30 days in case you reinstall, then deleted, or deleted immediately if Shopify sends shop/redact.

4. Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed by Shopify as recurring app charges, on a visit-based ceiling, not per conversation and not per resolution. Going over the visit ceiling does not turn the agent off and does not upgrade the plan. Email replies we send on your behalf have a separate monthly cap; chat still sends.

Trials, proration, decline and frozen-shop handling follow what Shopify’s Billing API actually does, plus a 7-day grace on a failed charge before paid features step back to free. We never collect your card.

5. The agent, and who is responsible for what it does

On paid plans the agent replies to buyers and, if you have enabled the action, can refund, start a return, change a delivery address before fulfilment, or issue a discount. Those writes are the core of the product. They are also the core of the liability.

You are responsible for the limits you chose, for the policies on your store, for what your staff approve, and for telling your customers (in your own privacy policy) that support chat and email are handled with this app. If the agent refunds an order because you set a $100 automatic ceiling and the order was $80, that is the ceiling working as designed. If it does something outside those limits, that is our defect and we will treat it as one.

The playground is test mode: it reads your live store and does not mail a real customer or execute a real action.

6. Your storefront

The widget is your surface. You are the controller of the conversation with your customer. You must not use the app to send unsolicited marketing, to collect data your privacy policy does not cover, or to process a child’s data in a way the law forbids. You must honour your own customers’ rights; we honour the webhooks Shopify sends us for that purpose.

Visit metering reads an identifier on the buyer’s device only when your storefront’s analytics consent allows it. Chat itself does not wait on that consent, because the buyer opened it.

7. Acceptable use

Do not probe other merchants’ data, forge inbound mail to hijack a thread, bypass rate limits, or use the app to send spam. We may suspend a store that does. Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy also applies to you as a merchant.

8. Confidentiality

We treat your store’s customer data and your configuration as confidential and use them only to provide the app. You treat any non-public information about the app the same way. This does not restrict information that is public, that you already had, or that you must disclose by law.

9. Intellectual property

The app, the widget and the brand are ours. Your catalog, your policies, your customer conversations and the look you set remain yours. You grant us the licence needed to display them in the widget and the inbox and to send them to the subprocessors listed in the privacy policy in order to run the app.

10. Availability and changes

We will try to keep the app up. We do not promise a particular uptime during early access. We may change features, including by shrinking them, and we will not use a change to silently start training on your customers or to start selling their data — that would also be a DPA change.

11. Disclaimer, during early access

Until we replace this section after launch, the app is provided as-is. We do not warrant that every answer is correct, that every action will complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted. The validator, the limits, the undo window and the handoff exist because we do not want you to rely on a bare model, not because they make the remaining risk zero.

12. Liability

Polish law does not let us exclude liability for damage caused intentionally, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for rights a consumer cannot waive. OWNER + legal: a contractual cap for other losses, and what happens if the agent executes a refund outside the configured limits. Do not invent a number.

13. Termination

You can uninstall at any time in Shopify. We can suspend or end the service if you materially breach these terms or if Shopify requires it. Clauses that by their nature should survive (confidentiality, liability, DPA deletion) survive.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. Disputes go to the common courts of the Republic of Poland. That does not take away a consumer’s mandatory protections under the law of the country where they live, and it does not take away a merchant’s mandatory controller duties under the law of the country where their shop is established.
